COURSE DESCRIPTION

Free course that examines the basic level of recording a historic building: the building assessment.  Learn the steps to carry out initial map based research,  annotating or creating sketch plans and elevations, taking photographs and looking at phasing and architectural biography.  This will act as a stepping stone to further study and research, with an extensive bibliography and links to other resources.

CERTIFICATION

Successful completion of this course shows an understanding of the subject and allows a sign off at novice level on the Historic Building Record section in the Archaeology Skills Passport (if you wish to add this on a blank skill page)
